wennLaw & Order‘s Richard Belzer got himself into trouble on Wednesday when he allegedly grabbed an employee at an NYC Apple store by the shoulders, shook her, choked her and screamed that he needed help.

The victim Milan Agnew called 911 and even filed a harassment complaint with the LAPD, which resulted in a minor violation. Belzer was not charged with a crime and told officers that he was “just joking.”

Agnew is upset that the actor was not charged with the assault. Her grandmother, Anita McKnight, stated:

“She told me, ‘Nana, he didn’t just touch me, he choked me and really scared me.’ My granddaughter is petite, just 5-feet-2 and she’s a dancer so she doesn’t have much body to her. Where does this man come off putting his hands on her?”

According to a witness, Belzer walked in and out of the store three times and began pacing up and down the block.

“If it was one of us, we’d be locked up right now,” said onlooker Jonathan Fox.

After the incident, Belzer was seen waving to people and shaking hands.
